AmpliTube Acoustic is a complete mobile tone studio for acoustic instruments. Powered by AmpliTube , it lets you practice, play and record with a collection of acoustic-centric virtual gear that offers world-class tone and sonic sculpting flexibility anytime and everywhere.
Build your own custom rig with up to 6 stompbox FX and an amp. You can even drag and drop your stomps to sit before or after your amplifier (4 slots pre and 2 slots post).
Designed for use with IKs iRig Acoustic mobile acoustic instrument interface, it provides plug-and-play sound thanks to a built-in calibration system that sculpts iRig Acoustics EQ response to suit your particular guitar. With the two combined, you can get studio-grade condenser microphone sound from an interface that slips easily into your pocket.
AmpliTube Acoustic gives you 6 creative stomp box effects and 3 amazing amps all tailored for acoustic instruments. Turn your acoustic into a jangling 12 string with the "12 String" simulator, add some low-end with the "Bass Maker" or even change your guitars body with the "Body Modeler." Feed your signal through solid state or tube amps and graphic EQs to get just the sound you want. Use "Feed Kill" to eliminate feedback instantly with just a tap.

Overall, a great app that has been implemented with an interface that is consistent with other IK/IRIG iOS apps. I purchased the "Acoustic" app specifically to get the 12 String Guitar FX and although not perfect, it provides a decent sounding 12 String capability. My observation is that the 12 String is "slightly weak" on the rich harmonics of a real 12 String, but its unmistakably a 12 String that is overall very satisfying. I would expect later versions to improve on the overall richness of the sound quality, but well worth the price as-is. Thanks,
I purchased the DAW to do some multi track recordings, however as soon as I arm a second track for recording the app crashes. This happens every single time, and makes it useless for my purposes. I contacted IK Multimedia support. Lets see what they say. Will update my review if the problem is solved.
You can not share in-app purchases between amplitude and amplitude acoustic. Which makes this app not worth using and too expensive if you need to repurchase everything again that you may already have purchased in amplitude.
I dont own an accoustic guitar or the special mic, but I use it with iRig Pro and electric guitars. And I must say that it sounds really cool too! It offers a nice range of clean tones and fx for your regular electrics :) Also thnx for making this a universal app and allowing me to unlock the previously purchased add-ons from Amplitube, like the multitrack recorder, tuner, drum styles etc. For once i dont feel completely nickel and dimed to death by an IK multimedia app.... Keep it that way please. Competitors like Tonestack also get that right.
I tried to use this but it crashed so much trying to put a track together that I gave up and requested a refund.
